PET - polyethylene terephthalate
On a continent that hardly provides in public waste collection services nor has introduced a deposit system on PET bottles whilst public health care demands to drink water from bottles as opposed to the water from the tap, the soil and river pollution due to post-consumer PET bottles is massive.
Plastic Recycling Africa works with local entrepreneurs to collect PET bottles from the streets, fields, rivers, garbage belts etc.
We sort the plastics by type and condense the plastics to bales and trade the plastics for recycling purposes.
